[Remote] Cloud Platform Engineer 3

Dice is hiring a Cloud Platform Engineer 3 to provide technical expertise in planning, integrating, evaluating, and improving cloud-based platforms and distributed virtual environments. The role involves analyzing system performance, managing distributed virtual machines, resolving functionality and configuration issues, and developing technical solutions to complex problems.
Responsibilities
- Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for different cloud-based platforms
- Creates proactive engineering mechanisms that will enable the team to manage the health of a number of distributed VMs
- Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies for hardware and software specifications
- Utilize trends and metrics to identify opportunities for improvements within existing frameworks, tools and processes
- Responsible for systems functionality, performance, and configurations issues
- Considered an emerging authority, who applies extensive technical expertise
- Develops technical solutions to complex problems
- Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment
Skills
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience
- IAT-2 certification required
- One or more cloud certifications required
- Active Secret clearance required
