[Remote] Compliance Coding Auditor / Educator
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is looking for a customer-focused Compliance Coding Auditor-Educator to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the subject matter expert for proper coding procedures and workflow for medical services, providing education in CPT, ICD, and HCC coding.
Responsibilities
- Develops and leads audit projects for medical record integrity
- Reports audit results utilizing a standard reporting process
- Identifies new errors while performing audits, investigates and assesses root cause
- Performs one-on-one Audit meetings and providers for corrective educational guidance
- Maintains complete knowledge and complies with all relevant insurance, CPT coding and diagnosis guidelines
- Provides training for IHA staff and providers on CPT, ICD10 and HCC coding standards and procedures
Skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Certified Professional Coder or RHIT is required
- 2 years of experience coding, reimbursement analysis, insurance issue resolution and medical record auditing
- Certified Auditor of HIM designation
- Previous experience with primary and multi-specialty care
- Health Information Management and data management experience
