[Remote] Computer Aided Design Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Cognizant is seeking a CATIA SIM / MODSIM Engineer to support engineering and product development activities. The role focuses on 3D modeling, simulation, design analysis, digital engineering workflows, model validation, troubleshooting, documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop, modify, and maintain engineering models using CATIA and MODSIM
- Support 3D modeling, simulation, and digital engineering activities
- Create and update CATIA models based on engineering requirements and design specifications
- Perform design modifications and support engineering change activities
- Work with engineering teams to understand design and simulation requirements
- Support model validation and ensure accuracy and quality of engineering data
- Troubleshoot CATIA/MODSIM modeling and simulation issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to resolve technical issues
- Maintain appropriate engineering documentation and modeling standards
- Support continuous improvement of CAD/CAE and digital engineering processes
- Participate in technical discussions, design reviews, and project meetings
Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with CATIA
- Experience with CATIA MODSIM
- Strong understanding of 3D CAD modeling and engineering design concepts
- Experience supporting engineering modeling and simulation activities
- Ability to interpret engineering requirements, specifications, and technical documentation
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively in a remote engineering environment
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. or Canada
- Experience in automotive, aerospace, or manufacturing engineering environments
- Experience with large-scale engineering organizations
- Knowledge of CAD/CAE integration and digital engineering workflows
- Experience working with engineering change management processes
- Experience with additional Dassault Systèmes tools is a plus
