[Remote] Controls Engineering Program Manager

RedCloud Consulting is a global business and technology consulting firm supporting clients with complex business and operational challenges. The Controls Engineering Program Manager will manage a portfolio of projects and backlog, oversee portfolio-level risks and dependencies, establish governance and project management processes, monitor project performance, and coordinate communication among stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of projects and backlog
• Identify and manage portfolio level risks, including recognizing potential dependencies and conflicts between projects and mitigating such issues
• Documenting the successes and achievements of each project as they happen
• Communicating effectively with a variety of stakeholders, including senior management, project teams, and clients. Managing expectations and ensuring stakeholder alignment across the portfolio of projects
• Helping establish and maintain appropriate governance structures and processes for the portfolio. This can include defining and implementing project management methodologies, standards, and best practices across projects
• Monitoring the progress and performance of the projects, ensuring they are on track to meet their objectives. This requires regular review and reporting on project status, risks, and issues
• Providing guidance and support to the team
• Serving as the primary point of contact for all project-related matters

Skills

• 5+ years of program management experience overseeing a portfolio of individual projects
• Background in operations and controls engineering or a related field
• Experience across standard project management practices and methodologies
• Ability to identify, assess, and manage project risks to mitigate potential impacts
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills to quickly and effectively resolve project-related issues
• Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects simultaneously
