[Remote] Custom Software Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Akkodis is seeking a Custom Software Engineer for a remote contract role supporting a client in Memphis, Tennessee. The engineer will analyze and maintain existing TIBCO BW applications and lead modernization efforts involving Java Spring Boot and MuleSoft, including design, development, testing, troubleshooting, and integration.
Responsibilities
- Analyze, support, and maintain existing TIBCO BW applications running in production environments
- Review and assess current application implementations across lower environments to identify modernization opportunities
- Participate in technical design and brainstorming sessions to define migration strategies from TIBCO BW to Java Spring Boot and MuleSoft
- Develop, test, and implement scalable Java Full Stack and Spring Boot solutions to support business requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration, performance optimization, and successful application modernization
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and ensure application reliability and stability throughout the development lifecycle
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with TIBCO BW, Java Full Stack development, MuleSoft, and Java Spring Boot
- Proven experience supporting and analyzing production TIBCO BW applications, with the ability to understand complex integrations and business processes
- Strong expertise in application modernization, including designing, developing, and migrating solutions to Java Spring Boot and MuleSoft platforms
