Our mission is simple yet powerful: to bridge the gap between patients and the medications they need, while ensuring a seamless, patient‑first experience every step of the way.

Why Join brighthush?

As a Remote Customer Service Representative, you will be at the frontline of a movement that redefines prescription cost navigation. This role offers:

  • Clear pathways for professional growth, including advanced training, mentorship, and opportunities to transition into higher‑level roles.
  • A supportive, values‑driven culture that prioritizes empathy, integrity, and continuous learning.

Role Overview

In this independent‑contractor position, you will serve as the trusted point of contact for patients seeking assistance with prescription savings programs. Your day‑to‑day tasks will involve:

  • Handling inbound and outbound phone calls, emails, and chat inquiries from patients and healthcare providers.
  • Explaining program eligibility criteria, enrollment steps, and available savings options in a clear, compassionate manner.
  • Collecting and verifying patient financial records, insurance benefits, and other required documentation.
  • Processing orders for specialty medications, including obtaining necessary authorizations and documenting all steps accurately.
  • Escalating complex cases, adverse events, or product quality complaints in accordance with brighthush’s detailed guidelines.
  • Maintaining meticulous records in our CRM and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and internal procedures related to medication ordering, distribution, and communication.
  • Providing de‑escalation support for upset or frustrated callers, turning challenging interactions into positive outcomes.
  • Continuously improving your knowledge of prescription savings programs, insurance policies, and industry best practices.

Essential Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you should bring:

  • At least one year of experience in a call‑center or customer‑service environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information simply and empathetically.
  • Excellent active listening and probing question techniques to uncover customer needs.
  • Analytical thinking and problem‑solving abilities to navigate complex eligibility scenarios.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
  • Proficiency with computers, including navigating multiple programs and databases simultaneously.
  • Experience in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding performance metrics.
  • Effective de‑escalation skills to manage difficult or emotional conversations.

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following experience will give you a competitive edge:

  • Background in medical office, pharmacy, or non‑clinical medical settings.
  • Familiarity with prescription drug benefit plans, insurance verification processes, or patient assistance programs.
  • Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce, Zendesk, or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and data privacy best practices.

  • Self‑motivation and discipline to work independently from a home office.
  • Time‑management skills to meet daily and weekly performance targets.
  • Team collaboration skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams.

brighthush values a culture of inclusion, transparency, and continuous improvement. As a remote contractor, you’ll enjoy:

  • A quiet, dedicated workspace with high‑speed, hardwired internet.
  • A Windows 11 PC with at least 8 GB of RAM, dual monitors, a noise‑cancelling headset, and a webcam.
  • Access to a self‑scheduling platform that lets you choose when you work within our client’s operating hours (Monday‑Friday, 8 AM‑8 PM ET).
