[Remote] Data Analyst

The company is seeking a Data Analyst to manage chemical and regulatory data, develop SQL-based reporting and validation processes, and support SDS and product labeling activities in compliance with GHS and applicable regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and product labeling in compliance with GHS and applicable regulatory requirements
• Develop and execute SQL scripts to extract, transform, and analyze chemical and regulatory data from enterprise databases
• Collaborate with IT and WERCS to optimize database structure, implement data quality controls, and troubleshoot data-related issues
• Redevelop SDSs and labels for Project Foxtrot, resulting in legal entity and branding changes
• Support Project Foxtrot and resource support requests for high-volume SDS and label projects and the Food Ingredients divestiture
• Support chemical database management, reporting, data validation, and cross-functional analytics needs

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline, such as chemistry, toxicology, environmental science, or a related field
• 3–5 years of experience in a technical role within a corporate or consulting firm
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex information and identify practical solutions
• Proven ability to interpret, synthesize, and clearly communicate technical or regulatory information to achieve desired outcomes
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of cross-functional teams
• Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to maintain productivity and accountability in a remote working environment
• Working knowledge of SAP and regulatory compliance systems such as UL WERCS for SDS authoring activities
• Knowledge of the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) and Safety Data Sheet (SDS/MSDS) requirements, including hazard classification
