[Remote] Data Analyst
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The client is a leading financial services company seeking a Business Data Analyst to bridge business and technology needs. The role focuses on requirements gathering, dashboard design, and delivering scalable data and reporting solutions, while partnering with data engineers and BI developers through implementation and adoption.
Responsibilities
- Lead discovery sessions with business and technology stakeholders to understand objectives, reporting pain points, data needs, and success criteria
- Own business requirements from initial concept through delivery, including functional requirements, data definitions, business rules, and stakeholder sign-off
- Translate business objectives into implementation-ready specifications for data engineers and BI developers
- Partner with data engineers and BI developers throughout design, development, testing, and deployment of dashboards and reports
- Advise stakeholders on data structuring, reporting design, metric definitions, and prioritization decisions
- Create and maintain documentation, training materials, and post-launch feedback loops to support adoption
Skills
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis within the financial services sector
- Must have hands-on experience with Sigma Computing, Databricks, and Power BI
- Demonstrated success eliciting, documenting, and managing business, functional, and reporting requirements across cross-functional stakeholder groups
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases for data profiling, analysis, and reconciliation
