[Remote] Data Analyst
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Medasource is hiring Data Analysts to support a Business Intelligence team. The role focuses on data discovery, SQL-based analysis and validation, requirements gathering, metric definition, source-to-target mapping, and stakeholder collaboration in a fully remote contract position.
Responsibilities
- Perform data profiling, analysis, validation, and reconciliation using SQL
- Gather and document business requirements
- Translate business questions into clear requirements and specifications
- Define metric and KPI logic, including inventory, worked/inflowed volume, and client value
- Map data sources and source-to-target relationships
- Work with data dictionaries and golden-record concepts
- Query data using Snowflake and/or Databricks
- Lead stakeholder kickoffs and working sessions
- Validate data outputs against requirements and defined metric logic
Skills
- Strong SQL skills
- Experience with requirements gathering and documentation
- Strong data analysis and validation skills
- Experience with source-to-target data mapping
- Experience with Snowflake and/or Databricks
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Healthcare revenue cycle experience, particularly denials & AR, underpayments, coding/assurance, patient pay, or insurance discovery
- Experience with semantic layers, metrics layers, or BI dashboards
- Exposure to AI-assisted analytics, including Snowflake Cortex
