[Remote] Data Analyst
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. SamSearch helps government contractors identify relevant opportunities more quickly and improve their chances of winning contracts through advanced data sources and agentic AI. The Data Analyst will collect and analyze government contract data, build reports and dashboards, collaborate across teams, and support data modeling and AI-driven product features.
Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and validate large datasets from multiple sources to support product features and client insights
- Performing data analysis, building reports and dashboards, and applying statistical methods to identify trends and patterns in government contract data
- Collaborating with product, engineering, and customer-facing teams to translate business questions into analytical tasks and communicate findings clearly
- Contribute to data modeling efforts, support continuous improvement of analytical workflows, and help refine AI-driven features with robust data inputs
Skills
- Strong Analytical Skills and applied Data Analytics experience to interpret complex datasets and generate actionable insights
- Proficiency in Statistics to design analyses, validate findings, and support data-driven decision-making
- Experience with Data Modeling to structure, optimize, and maintain data for reporting and AI-driven applications
- Effective Communication skills to present analytical results clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with SQL and at least one analytics or scripting language (e.g., Python, R) and common BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
- Experience with government contracting data, public sector analytics, or similar domains is a plus
