[Remote] Data Analytics Intern

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Staffline Solutions is hiring on behalf of its client for a Data Analytics Intern. The role supports business reporting, performance analysis, and data-driven decision-making by reviewing data, identifying trends, preparing reports, and translating findings into actionable summaries. The intern will collaborate with stakeholders and contribute to projects that improve reporting processes and business information use.

Responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing business data to identify trends, variations, and areas requiring further attention
• Support the preparation and maintenance of recurring business reports and analytical summaries
• Examine data from multiple sources and help ensure information is organized and suitable for analysis
• Contribute to performance tracking across relevant business functions and operational areas
• Assist in comparing historical and current data to identify changes and emerging patterns
• Help transform analytical findings into clear presentations and management-ready summaries
• Conduct research to support business questions, reporting requirements, and analytical projects
• Work with internal stakeholders to understand reporting needs and clarify data-related requirements
• Assist in investigating unusual results, discrepancies, or gaps identified during analysis
• Maintain clear records of reports, findings, assumptions, and supporting information
• Participate in projects focused on improving reporting processes and the use of business information

Skills

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science , or a related field
• Strong interest in business intelligence, reporting, and data-driven decision-making
• Ability to work confidently with numerical and business information
• Strong understanding of basic analytical and statistical concepts
• Ability to identify patterns and communicate observations in a structured manner
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to organize work effectively and meet agreed deadlines
• Comfortable collaborating with teams in a remote working environment
• Demonstrated curiosity and willingness to investigate business questions using available information
• Academic projects, research assignments, or previous exposure to business analysis will be an advantage
