[Remote] Data Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Precision Technologies is seeking an Azure Data Engineer to build and maintain enterprise data solutions. The role focuses on developing Azure-based ETL/ELT pipelines, data lakes, data warehouses, and transformation processes while ensuring data quality, security, governance, and performance. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams and implement CI/CD and DataOps practices.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Azure Databricks
- Build, manage, and optimize enterprise data lakes using Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 (ADLS Gen2) and Delta Lake
- Develop and optimize data warehouse solutions using Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure SQL Database
- Develop data transformation and processing solutions using PySpark, Spark SQL, Python, and SQL
- Design and implement dimensional data models including Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, fact tables, and dimension tables
- Integrate structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data from databases, APIs, SaaS applications, on-premises systems, and third-party sources
- Implement data quality, validation, reconciliation, monitoring, and error-handling processes across data pipelines
- Optimize Spark jobs, SQL queries, data pipelines, storage, partitioning, and data processing performance
- Implement data security, governance, encryption, access controls, and compliance across Azure data environments
- Collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Analysts, BI Developers, Solution Architects, and business stakeholders to deliver enterprise data solutions
- Build CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Git for automated deployments, version control, and DataOps practices
