[Remote] Data Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. PHT Staffing LLC is seeking an experienced Data Engineer for a full-time or contract opportunity. The role involves designing and implementing scalable data pipelines using Databricks, Microsoft Azure, PySpark, Spark, Azure Data Factory, Delta Lake, and related data engineering technologies.
Skills
- 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure and cloud-based data engineering solutions
- Strong proficiency in PySpark, Apache Spark, Spark SQL, and Python
- Extensive experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) and ETL/ELT pipelines
- Strong experience with Delta Lake and Medallion Architecture
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2)
- Strong SQL skills, including query optimization and performance tuning
- Experience designing and implementing scalable, high-performance data pipelines
- Experience with Databricks Jobs, Workflows, clusters, notebooks, and performance optimization
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data architecture
- Experience with Git, CI/CD, and DevOps practices
- Strong understanding of Azure security, governance, and access controls
- US Citizens
- Expert-level expertise preferred
- Databricks Certification is a strong plus; certified candidates will be given first preference
