[Remote] Data Engineer

The role focuses on developing and maintaining data pipelines, transformations, models, quality checks, monitoring, and technical documentation while supporting controlled infrastructure changes.
Responsibilities
- Develop reliable ingestion and transformation workflows for analytical or operational datasets
- Write maintainable SQL and Python code for data preparation, modeling, and pipeline automation
- Review pipeline health and trace failed or incomplete runs to their underlying technical cause
- Keep schemas, dependencies, transformation rules, and data-model documentation current
- Add validation and monitoring that surfaces data-quality problems early in the workflow
- Support controlled changes to data infrastructure with documented testing and rollback considerations
Skills
- Practical familiarity with Data Engineering, SQL, and Python
- Consistent accuracy when working with ETL and Data Pipelines
- Clear written communication and disciplined documentation habits
- Ability to manage assigned work, deadlines, and follow-up without making unsupported assumptions
- Comfort coordinating remotely through shared systems and written communication
