[Remote] Data Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. PHT Staffing LLC is seeking an experienced Data Engineer for a remote contract opportunity in the United States. The role focuses on building and supporting modern data platforms using Databricks, dbt, PySpark, Lakehouse Architecture, Delta Lake, and SQL, while troubleshooting pipelines and resolving complex data issues.
Responsibilities
- Strong experience debugging data pipelines, data quality issues, and production failures
- Ability to perform root-cause analysis and resolve complex data issues
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Skills
- • 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering
- • 5+ years of experience with PySpark and Python programming
- • 5+ years of strong SQL experience for data analysis, validation, and troubleshooting
- • 4+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks and Lakehouse Architecture
- • 3+ years of hands-on experience with dbt, including data transformation, testing, and model development
- • Hands-on experience with Delta Lake and modern data platforms
- • Strong experience debugging data pipelines, data quality issues, and production failures
- • Ability to perform root-cause analysis and resolve complex data issues
- • Strong communication and collaboration skills
