[Remote] Data Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Enhance IT is seeking a motivated Junior Data Engineer to join its growing data team. The role focuses on building scalable data pipelines, managing data warehouses and lakes, writing SQL for data transformation, monitoring data quality, and collaborating with technical teams using cloud and big data technologies.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines
- Assist in designing and managing data warehouses and data lakes
- Write efficient SQL queries for data extraction and transformation
- Monitor data quality and troubleshoot pipeline issues
- Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and software engineers to support business requirements
- Work with cloud platforms and big data technologies to process large datasets
Skills
- • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- • 1–4 years of experience in Data Engineering or a similar role
- • Strong knowledge of SQL and Python
- • Basic understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts
- • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- • Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- • Exposure to tools like Apache Spark, Airflow, Databricks, or Snowflake is a plus
- • Knowledge of version control tools such as Git
- • Understanding of data modeling and database design
- • Relevant certifications are an added advantage
