[Remote] Data Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Trajectory Recruiting is seeking a Full-Stack Data Engineer for a consulting engagement supporting a leading global investment management firm. The role focuses on designing and optimizing end-to-end data pipelines, modernizing data architecture, managing orchestration workflows, and collaborating with technical and business stakeholders in the financial services domain.
Responsibilities
- Pipeline Development & Orchestration: Design, implement, and maintain enterprise data pipelines and workflow orchestration using modern cloud and scheduling frameworks
- Database & Data Warehouse Engineering: Develop, optimize, and manage complex SQL queries, database objects, and enterprise data models across cloud and on-premise platforms
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with both technical engineering teams and non-technical business stakeholders to translate strategic business requirements into scalable technical architecture
- Data Quality & Performance: Ensure high availability, data integrity, and performance optimization across data pipelines and warehousing systems
Skills
- Strong, hands-on proficiency with Snowflake, Oracle, and SQL
- Demonstrated experience with ADO (Azure DevOps) / ADF (Azure Data Factory) and enterprise scheduling tools (e.g., Breeze, Argen , or similar orchestration frameworks)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven track record of effectively bridging technical and business discussions
- Prior experience within Financial Services, Investment Management, or Asset Management is highly preferred
- Experience working within client-facing or consulting environments
- Familiarity with modern data stack architectures and cloud-native integration patterns
