[Remote] Data Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Enhance IT is seeking a motivated Junior Data Engineer to join its growing data team. The role focuses on building, maintaining, and optimizing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, managing data storage systems, monitoring data quality, and collaborating with technical teams using cloud and big data technologies.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines
- Assist in designing and managing data warehouses and data lakes
- Write efficient SQL queries for data extraction and transformation
- Monitor data quality and troubleshoot pipeline issues
- Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and software engineers to support business requirements
- Work with cloud platforms and big data technologies to process large datasets
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 1–4 years of experience in Data Engineering or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of SQL and Python
- Basic understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Exposure to tools like Apache Spark, Airflow, Databricks, or Snowflake is a plus
- Knowledge of version control tools such as Git
- Understanding of data modeling and database design
- Relevant certifications are an added advantage
