[Remote] Data Engineer

Hanson Lee is presenting an opportunity with a leading global insurer for a Data Engineer to develop and support modern data solutions that enable business insight and decision-making. The role focuses on enterprise data warehouse solutions, ETL processes, data quality, SQL-based integrations, production support, and collaboration on data projects while contributing to AI and automation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and support data warehouse and ETL solutions
- Build and optimise SQL-based data integrations and pipelines
- Troubleshoot data quality issues and support production releases
- Collaborate with business and technology teams to deliver data projects
- Identify opportunities to improve performance, efficiency and quality
Skills
- • 3+ years' experience in Data Engineering or Data Warehousing
- • Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets
- • Experience with ETL tools such as SSIS, Informatica or Azure Data Factory (ADF)
- • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant discipline
- • Experience with SQL Server and/or Azure Synapse preferred
- • Insurance or financial services experience is advantageous
