[Remote] Data Scientist
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The company is a growing track-and-trace software provider serving regulators and supply-chain organizations across the United States. The remote Data Scientist will turn complex data into actionable business insights by discovering patterns, developing predictive models, and identifying risks and opportunities, while partnering with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams.
Responsibilities
- Turn complex data into actionable business insights
- Discovering patterns, developing predictive models, and identifying risks and opportunities
- Building and evaluating predictive models including forecasting, classification, regression, clustering
- Partnering with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams
- Presenting to technical and non-technical audiences
Skills
- 7+ years experience in Data Science, Applied Statistics, or a related field
- Strong statistical analysis, exploratory data analysis, and predictive modeling skills
- Expertise in Snowflake and SQL
- Proven background building and evaluating predictive models including forecasting, classification, regression, clustering
- Deep experience partnering with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams
- Experience with Sigma or similar visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
- BS degree in CS, Mathematics, or other STEM discipline
- Strong communication skills (experience presenting to technical and non-technical audiences)
- U.S. Citizens and those authorized to work in the U.S
- Python experience a very nice to have
