[Remote] Database Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Trilyon, Inc. is a technology consulting and workforce solutions company serving organizations across multiple regions. The DB2 Data Engineer will develop and maintain database applications on the IBM iSeries platform, modernize RPG code into SQL stored procedures, and support integrations involving REST APIs, JSON, Python, microservices, and Git.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain various database applications on the IBM iseries platform, utilizing dynamic SQL, convert RPG code to sql stored procedures, performance tuning, logging and exception handling
- Expert SQL stored procedures, development experience in db2 IBM iseries platform. Please note that this is a MUST. If they just have embedded SQL and RPG experience, we are not going to move them to an interview
- Able to read RPGIV, RPGLE, RPGFree programs, embedded SQL
- Conversion/modernization experience from RPG to SQL stored procedures in db2
- IBM tools such as Aldon, RDI, ACS etc
- Application development experience interacting with front end using REST APIs, Json
- Exposure to python, microservices, VS code IDE development
- Git source control and integration
Skills
