[Remote] Dev Ops Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. AFS Logistics is seeking a DevOps Engineer to provide reliable platforms for running, building, deploying, and maintaining software and applications that support business processes. The role focuses on CI/CD, production issue resolution, scalable solutions, IT automation, system documentation, source control, and developer support.
Responsibilities
- Builds and maintains CI/CD processes for in-house developed applications
- Perform root cause analysis of production issues
- Work with the development team to architect scalable and maintainable solutions
- Automate manual IT processes
- Maintain documentation for servers/solutions in use
- Maintain source control software
- Provide support to developers
- Special assignments requested by Technical Leadership
Skills
- Working knowledge of administering public cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure)
- Working knowledge of databases and SQL
- Good knowledge of a scripting language (Bash, Python, PowerShell, etc.)
- Experience with a configuration management solution (Ansible, Puppet, Salt, etc.)
- Experience with a container orchestration platform (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, etc.)
- Experience managing Windows and GNU/Linux systems
- Effective communication, creativity, problem solving, and logical thinking are all necessary skills
- Or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with Software Design, Software Documentation, Software Testing, Software Maintenance, Software Development Process, Software Requirements, Teamwork, General Consulting Skills, Software Architecture
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
