[Remote] DevOps Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Techgene Solutions is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, implement, automate, and support enterprise DevOps platforms in complex on-premises environments. The role focuses on Kubernetes and container platforms, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, production support, and modernization initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, deploy, and maintain Kubernetes clusters in on-premises environments
- Manage enterprise container platforms, including Kubernetes, Docker/container runtimes, and OpenShift
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application build, deployment, testing, and release automation
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, deployment, and operational processes
- Manage Linux-based on-prem infrastructure, networking, storage, certificates, and system integrations supporting Kubernetes
- Implement Kubernetes high availability, scaling, security, monitoring, logging, and disaster recovery
- Troubleshoot complex issues across Kubernetes, containers, applications, networking, and infrastructure
- Work with development, infrastructure, security, and application teams to support enterprise deployments
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar technologies
- Establish and maintain DevOps standards, deployment patterns, and operational best practices
- Monitor platform performance and availability using enterprise monitoring and logging tools
- Participate in production support, incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and performance optimization
- Support modernization and migration initiatives involving legacy/on-prem applications and containerized platforms
Skills
- 10+ years of DevOps / Infrastructure / Platform Engineering experience
- Strong hands-on Kubernetes experience
- Extensive on-premises Kubernetes/container platform experience
- Docker / containerization
- Linux administration
- CI/CD pipelines
- Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar
- Infrastructure as Code – Terraform / Ansible
- Kubernetes networking, security, storage, ingress, RBAC, and cluster administration
- Scripting with Shell/Bash and/or Python
- Enterprise troubleshooting and production support
- Strong understanding of networking, DNS, load balancing, certificates, and security
- Experience working with large-scale enterprise environments
