[Remote] DevOps Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Themesoft Inc. is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to support its platform engineering initiatives. The role will lead the design, development, deployment, and support of internal developer platform capabilities, provide technical leadership to engineering teams, and drive adoption of cloud-native self-service workflows.
Responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end delivery of IDP platform capabilities (design → build → deploy → support)
- Lead engineering efforts across Backstage/Harness-based platform architecture
- Provide technical leadership to onshore/offshore (GCC) engineering teams
- Partner with Product Owner, Architects, and KP stakeholders
- Ensure alignment with developer experience and platform strategy
- Enable adoption of self-service, cloud-native developer workflows
- Deliver measurable improvements in developer productivity and platform utilization
Skills
- 10 + Years of experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Backstage
- Proficiency in React / TypeScript and Python
- Strong knowledge of Cloud-native architectures
- Strong knowledge of APIs and microservices
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD and DevSecOps practices
- Experience leading platform engineering teams
- Ability to translate strategy into execution and measurable outcomes
- Backstage (IDP frameworks preferred not mandatory)
- Harness (highly preferred not mandatory)
