[Remote] DevOps Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Refocus LLC is seeking an Entry-Level DevOps Engineer to join an Enterprise Infrastructure & Platform Team. The role supports application release processes, automated build environments, secure CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure provisioning, containerization, monitoring, deployment troubleshooting, and DevSecOps compliance in a regulated financial services environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining and improving automated CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI)
- Write basic automation scripts using Python, Bash, or Shell to eliminate repetitive manual tasks
- Help provision and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation
- Support application containerization using Docker and basic Kubernetes orchestration
- Monitor continuous delivery systems, investigate deployment failures, and assist with root-cause analysis
- Collaborate with development teams to enforce security (DevSecOps) and compliance standards for code deployments
Skills
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Core Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of Linux/Unix administration and software development lifecycles (SDLC)
- Scripting: Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, or Shell)
- Concepts: Basic exposure to version control (Git), Docker, and CI/CD tools
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, willingness to learn complex enterprise tools, and strong verbal/written communication
