[Remote] DevOps Engineer T3 (526)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Sharp Decisions is seeking a DevOps Engineer T3 for a fully remote contract position. The role involves building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, supporting cloud infrastructure, and developing automation to improve operational efficiencies while implementing security controls.
Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and provision cloud infrastructure
- Build infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for software applications
- Manage containerized environments using Docker and introduce orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes) as scale requires
- Implement security into deployments by design, including IAM, encryption, and network segmentation
- Implement monitoring and observability to track system health, performance, and reliability
- Support database operations including scaling, backups, and recovery
Skills
- Must be a US Citizen — no dual citizens
- 5+ years of hands-on cloud experience in production environments
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field
- 5+ years of strong hands-on cloud experience, preferably AWS, in production environments
- In-depth understanding of Docker and containerization workflows, including Kubernetes
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Argo CD, Jenkins, or GitLab Runner
- Solid scripting skills in Bash and/or Python
- Experience supporting MS-SQL or similar relational databases
- Strong understanding of security fundamentals and access management
- AWS experience strongly preferred
