[Remote] Director - Operational Optimization

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. ProAmpac is seeking a Director of Operational Optimization to lead enterprise network optimization strategy. The role identifies opportunities to improve manufacturing and warehousing utilization, develops capacity and network strategies, leads portfolio reviews and cross-functional projects, and prepares business cases for executive decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to leverage manufacturing / warehousing capabilities and capacities
• Optimize network locations for equipment, manufacturing sites, and warehousing
• Develop business cases for executive level decision making
• Identify and prioritize opportunities to optimize
• To support cost reductions, asset utilization and maximize internal value to ProAmpac’s internal & external customers
• Maintain pipeline of network optimization opportunities across all business groups
• Develop process to maintain visibility to manufacturing capacity, utilization and constraints across enterprise
• Partner with ops & planning teams to align forecasts with available capacity and balance production loads
• Help provide input towards strategic capacity expansions, capex, new capabilities
• Lead recurring portfolio reviews on network optimization opportunities, capacity utilization, etc
• Develop scorecards to track pipeline, project statuses, savings realized, etc
• Work with supply chain, manufacturing, and leadership to align on network opportunities and execution with overarching organizational goals
• Identify and utilize simulation software to run scenario planning ("what-if" models) for network changes

Skills

• Minimum 10 years' progressive experience in manufacturing industry
• Strong Financial and Manufacturing background
• In-depth knowledge of end to end Supply Chain and P&L statements
• Solid analytical skills and ability to translate data into fact-based decision making to support strategic planning and program implementation
• Effective in data gathering, able to work in an unstructured environment, strong communication skills and able to build partnerships internally and externally
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to set clear priorities in a fast-paced environment
• High emotional intelligence and conflict resolution; able to effectively maintain relationships via flexibility, collaboration and negotiation
• Ability to build strong working relationships with clients and colleagues across departments, geographic locations, and time zones
• Demonstrated success in bringing about changes in an organization, consensus building, and influencing all levels of an organization
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), Visio, and Outlook email and calendar capabilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Leadership and patience when working with project team members
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly
• Expected typical travel by car, plane with some overnight stays estimated at up to 25% in a typical month
• Employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands/fingers to type, hold, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms
• The employee is regularly required to talk or hear
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or Finance; MBA a plus
• Excellent English language fluency is a must, additional language capabilities are a strong plus
