[Remote] EBS Apps Database Administrator
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. My3Tech is seeking an EBS Apps Database Administrator to support Oracle E-Business Suite infrastructure and database administration. The role focuses on patch analysis, EBS upgrades, Oracle Service Requests, infrastructure troubleshooting, browser and Java architecture updates, documentation, and technical leadership for patching and upgrade efforts.
Responsibilities
- Interact with Client’s DBAs to validate Quarterly patches done by ATOS
- Support and provide consultation for EBS 12.2.x upgrade
- Provide support and assistance in managing Oracle SRs required for EBS
- Troubleshooting basis2 issues as it relates to EBS infrastructure
- Configure basis2 to run in the Client’s approved browser
- Currently runs in unsupported IE
- Assist and support the database upgrade to Oracle 19c. Current basis2 implementation runs in an outdated JAVA architecture and JRE
- Consult and advise on upgrading
- Assess the current application environment, provide documentation and serve as the technical lead in patch / upgrade efforts
- Miscellaneous duties: Assisting teams as needed
Skills
- Experience with Linux, JAVA, Oracle, Oracle Reports, PhP, Perl, PL/SQL. Cold Fusion, and full stack web development
- Advanced EBS Apps DBA with 5+ years' experience, good communication and collaboration skills
- Technical writing skills
- Ability to analyze technical situations or infrastructure and be able to document
- Experience in advising, directing and guiding DBAs, App Admins, Data Center Resources (DCS)
- Experience opening Oracle SRs and expediting SRs as needed
- Experience with RAC and Exadata
