[Remote] Electrical Design Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. NR Consulting is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to support electrical design projects under the supervision of a senior engineer. The role involves designing low-voltage electrical systems, performing calculations and studies, selecting equipment, preparing AutoCAD/Revit drawings, coordinating with clients and project teams, and delivering accurate work independently.
Responsibilities
- Travel to project sites, via car/plane/train as required to complete tasks
- Ability to execute standard electrical calculations
- Equipment Selections and Equipment Applications
- A general understanding of electrical systems, electrical and building codes, etc
- Able to execute their own drafting thru AutoCAD/Revit
- Conforming to company standards (AutoCAD/Revit, network)
- Good writing and oral communication skills
- Must have excellent computer (Microsoft - Word, Excel, etc.), mathematical and communication skills
- Must be familiar with the preparation and evaluation of short circuit, coordination and arc flash studies
- Must be able to work with others and accept direction from various senior personnel
- Must be a self-starter and able to work independently and be responsible for meeting deadlines, including working necessary hours to meet deliverables deadline
- Must have working knowledge of English language and the ability to speak and write English with technical terms
- Accountable for the accuracy and completeness of work assigned
- Works without close supervision
- Exercises independent judgment in selecting and interpreting information
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
- Must have minimum 5-7 years of experience in electrical design and AutoCAD/Revit
- Have a valid driver's license
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Thorough understanding of low voltage electrical systems
- Ability to execute projects with minimal oversight
- Ability to execute standard electrical calculations
- General understanding of electrical systems, electrical and building codes, etc
- Able to execute their own drafting thru AutoCAD/Revit
