[Remote] Embedded Software Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. GCS is hiring an Embedded Software Engineer to support aerospace connectivity and satellite communications projects. The role focuses on developing and maintaining embedded Linux software, containerized applications, over-the-air update systems, and secure networking solutions for commercial aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software for embedded Linux-based aviation platforms
• Build and support containerized applications running in production aircraft environments
• Building and supporting OTA (Over-the-Air) update systems, including image validation, rollback, and fleet-wide deployments
• Integrate software with networking, communications, and hardware subsystems
• Troubleshoot Linux systems, networking challenges, and application-level issues
• Participate across the full SDLC, including design, development, testing, deployment, and operational support
• Help deliver secure, reliable, and scalable software solutions for airline customers
