[Remote] Embedded Software Test Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Insight Global is seeking an Embedded Software Test Engineer to support next-generation aerospace power distribution electronics. The role focuses on developing and executing embedded software tests for PIC microcontrollers and Arm Cortex systems under the DO-178 safety standard, along with verification documentation and communication across testing activities.
Responsibilities
- High-level and low-level test case and procedure development per DO-178
- Independent review of design, test cases, and test procedures
- Review and integration of third-party verification and validation (V&V) vendor tests
- Issue creation with problem reporting tools
- Utilization of Vectorcast
- Pipeline automation for CI/CD
- Reports to satisfy V&V documentation requirements
Skills
- Bachelors Degree in a relevant field of study
- 3-5 years of experience with embedded software test engineering
- Experience with DO-178
- Experience with V&V documentation
- Experience with Vectorcast technology
- Strong communication skills
- Coming from an aerospace background
- Experience with GitLab
- Experience with Codebeamer
