[Remote] Engineering Manager
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Tekmetric is a cloud-based platform aimed at helping auto repair shops operate more effectively. The Engineering Manager will lead a team of engineers in the design, development, and implementation of products while guiding the technical direction and ensuring high-quality engineering work.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, providing technical guidance and career development support
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment
- Own your team’s delivery, quality and timely execution
- Guide key technical decisions around new product initiatives
- Work closely with other departments, including product, design, and QA, to align engineering activities with company objectives
- Continuously evaluate and improve engineering processes and practices to enhance team efficiency and product quality
- Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and training new engineering team members
Skills
- 7+ years in software development with at least 2 years of engineering leadership experience
- You have built and developed an impactful team of passionate engineers
- You are able to tackle sophisticated engineering problems that deliver results which help the team to achieve its objectives
- You're passionate about being in a product-focused environment where everyone cares deeply about customer impact
