[Remote] Finance Associate
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Piper Maddox is a leading US renewable energy IPP seeking a Finance Associate to join their investment team. The role involves scenario analysis, offtake pricing, valuation, and financial due diligence for utility-scale BESS projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead underwriting and financial modeling for utility-scale investments, including acquisition and development
- Support the evaluation and execution of prospective investments through financial modeling, due diligence coordination, and participation in deal structuring, negotiation, and transaction execution
- Support debt and tax credit financing transactions through financial modeling and due diligence coordination
- Assist in the preparation of investment committee memoranda and Board materials supporting greenfield and M&A investment approvals
Skills
- Hand on experience in structured financing/investment opportunities within renewable energy
- 2-4 years of experience in clean energy finance, tax credits, project finance, investment banking, valuations, consulting, or other transaction-oriented environments
- Strong financial modeling and valuation skills, with the ability to distill complex analyses into clear conclusions
