[Remote] Financial Analyst

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Children’s Minnesota is a pediatric health system serving children throughout the Upper Midwest. The Financial Analyst will research and analyze data, create reports and dashboards, provide financial support to business owners, analyze revenue and expense trends, and support annual budgeting and forecasting. The role also assists business departments in understanding financial responsibilities and planning future financial commitments.

Responsibilities

• Researching and analyzing various sources of data
• Create reports and dashboards
• Provide financial support to business owners
• Analyze revenue and expense trends- descriptive analytics, data visualization
• Participate in annual budgeting and forecasting
• Work with Business departments and assist them in understanding and managing their financial responsibilities
• Assist departments with developing a roadmap for their future financial commitments

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in related field
• 3+ years experience with cost accounting/service line analysis
• Strong oral communication skills and ability to produce narrative and written summarizes clearly synthesizing recommendations and conclusions
• Analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite, with ability to learn new technologies quickly
• Ability to multi-task, work independently and as part of a team, establishing cooperative and collaborative working relationships
• Healthcare experience
