[Remote] Firewall Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Dice is presenting an opportunity for a Firewall Engineer to support a cybersecurity engineering team. The role manages Check Point and Palo Alto firewalls, security and NAT policies, virtual machine scale sets, and change management processes within an IaaS environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage Checkpoint and Palo Alto firewalls in an IaaS environment
- Administer security policies and NAT policies in Checkpoint and Palo Alto
- Manage virtual machine scale sets
- Operate within strict change management policies
Skills
- Firewall engineer experience with managing Checkpoint and Palo Alto firewalls in an IaaS environment
- Expertise in managing security policies and NAT policies in Checkpoint and Palo Alto; Knowledgeable in managing virtual machine scale sets
- Experience in collapsing two or more firewalls into one
- Experience with migrating Checkpoint Firewalls to Palo Alto firewalls in Azure
- Experience leveraging Strata Cloud Manager to manage a large number of firewalls
- Experience using Python and Ansible to automate routine tasks
