[Remote] Founding Data & Analytics Engineer (NYC)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Sailor Health is building an AI-powered virtual care model for aging that combines behavioral health, healthcare advocacy, wellness services, and AI care agents. The Founding Data & Analytics Engineer will architect and scale the company’s data foundation, building pipelines, analytics, data-powered applications, and automation to support clinical insights, AI copilots, care delivery, and business decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Create data-powered web apps to solve tangible business problems
- Build pipelines in Snowflake and dbt that unify data from EHR, CRM, and communication systems
- Develop AI and ML-driven analyses of therapy transcripts and patient data
- Automate backend operations with Python scripts that power clinical and billing workflows
- Track and visualize clinical outcomes (PHQ-9, GAD-7, etc.)
- Collaborate cross-functionally with clinicians and founders to turn data into action
- Build long-term horizon data architectures and solutions that grow as our user base and internal teams grow
Skills
- • Live in NYC and energized by in-person work
- • Have 3-10 years of experience in data engineering or analytics
- • Are fluent in SQL, Python, dbt, and Snowflake
- • Have experience with GraphQL, REST APIs, and unstructured data (e.g., transcripts, FHIR format)
- • Bring high EQ and can communicate clearly with non-technical teammates
- • Move fast, set a high bar, and care deeply about improving mental health for older adults
