[Remote] Founding Mobile Engineer (React Native)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Comity is developing a Guaranteed Income product and is seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer to help build its mobile application. The role involves designing, developing, testing, and deploying a React Native and TypeScript app, with a focus on Android, while owning broad responsibilities across the codebase, technology choices, and team culture.
Responsibilities
- You will work with our engineering team to design, develop, test, and deploy our mobile app, which is built with React Native and Typescript
- Writing and styling React Native components
- Implementing event handlers, state management, and API client integrations in Typescript
- Integrating third party SDKs where necessary
- Instrumenting product analytics and application monitoring
- Writing unit, integration, and functional tests
Skills
- 3-5 years experience in production Android, iOS, multiplatform mobile, or React web development
- We are a small team working on a greenfield product, so an ability to work well in an unstructured environment with loosely defined requirements is critical
- But we are open to US-based remote engineers as well
- We plan to host collocated work weeks once per quarter in New York
- Experience with Expo, Typescript, and/or OpenAPI is a plus
- New York is the preferred location for this role
