[Remote] Frontend Developer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Brooksource is an IT and engineering services provider supporting organizations through staffing and professional services. The company is seeking a senior-level Angular frontend engineer to build, enhance, and support physician-facing applications on the OneView platform. The role owns frontend architecture and production support while collaborating with backend engineers, product teams, and Agile teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support feature enhancements on the OneView platform's Angular frontend and related physician-facing UIs
- Own the frontend experience end-to-end — component architecture, state management, performance, and accessibility — while collaborating with backend engineers on Spring Boot / Java services and API contracts
- Proactively identify and address technical debt, particularly around frontend performance, component reusability, and cloud-native architecture gaps
- Participate in production support with a full-ownership mindset — you own your code end-to-end
- Conduct design and code reviews; uphold engineering standards and push for improvement
- Mentor junior developers and help guide the team toward modern Angular best practices
- Collaborate with product owners, designers, and cross-functional Agile teams to translate requirements into reliable, scalable UI solutions
- Contribute to frontend testing strategy, defect resolution, and CI/CD pipeline quality
- Use and champion modern development tooling including AI-assisted coding tools

- • HTML5, CSS/SCSS, and modern build tooling (Angular CLI, Webpack)

- • Demonstrated experience building greenfield cloud applications — not just maintaining or migrating existing systems
- • A continuous learner who stays current with modern tooling, AI-assisted development practices, and emerging frontend/cloud-native patterns
- • Full ownership mentality: comfortable with production support, end-to-end testing, and shipping features with accountability
- • Clear, direct communication style. We want engineers who answer questions concisely and at the right technical level
- • Strong mentorship instincts — the ability to guide teammates toward better practices without being prescriptive
- • Consulting mindset: excited to challenge established approaches, identify improvement opportunities, and drive real change
- • Spring Boot / Spring Data JPA — enough to collaborate effectively with backend engineers and understand API design
- • Feign client / inter-service communication concepts
- • Java — general familiarity with OOP fundamentals a plus
- • Microservices architecture principles
- • Windsurf plugin experience a plus
- • Healthcare industry experience
- • Experience collaborating with offshore or distributed development teams
