[Remote] Full Stack Developer / Software Engineer – Backend & Data Focus
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Centurion is seeking a Junior-to-Mid Level Full Stack Developer / Software Engineer focused on backend development, APIs, AWS, and large-scale data environments. The role involves developing Python-based backend services, integrating cloud and data platforms, supporting scalable multi-tenant and event-driven applications, and contributing to front-end development, testing, Agile practices, and CI/CD.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs, primarily using Python
- Develop and integrate APIs across AWS, Databricks, databases, and other systems
- Support applications and data environments involving large-scale datasets, including terabyte- and petabyte-scale environments
- Develop and support multi-tenant applications, with consideration for scalability, security, and data isolation
- Design and support event-driven systems, including asynchronous processing, messaging, and event-based workflows
- Work with Databricks, Snowflake, or similar cloud data platforms
- Troubleshoot and optimize application, API, data, and cloud performance
- Contribute to front-end development using JavaScript/TypeScript and ReactJS as needed
- Participate in Agile development, code reviews, testing, documentation, and CI/CD practices
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools, particularly GitHub Copilot, to improve development productivity and code quality

- • 2–5 years of software development experience or equivalent demonstrated technical experience
- • Hands-on experience with Python, APIs, and cloud-based applications or data environments
- • Experience working with large or complex datasets
- • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- • Experience working in an Agile software development environment
- • Databricks or similar platform (e.g., Snowflake) – strongly preferred
- • Production experience with AWS and Databricks
- • Experience with petabyte-scale data, multi-tenant architectures, and event-driven applications
- • Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and ReactJS
- • Experience with Docker, Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and application monitoring
