[Remote] Full Stack Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. SOLTECH is seeking an experienced Senior Full-Stack Developer to build and support business-critical applications in the financial services industry. The role focuses on developing PHP/Laravel backend services and Vue.js frontend applications, translating financial requirements into reliable solutions, and supporting trading-related workflows, integrations, databases, testing, deployment, and production operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain full-stack web applications using PHP, Laravel, and Vue.js
• Develop clean, maintainable, and well-structured production code across the frontend and backend
• Build responsive frontend applications and user interfaces using Vue.js
• Design and develop backend application logic, services, and APIs using PHP and Laravel
• Translate financial and business requirements into effective technical solutions
• Develop and support applications used within financial services and trading-related environments
• Work with complex business rules, calculations, transactional data, and financial workflows
• Integrate applications with third-party APIs, market or financial data sources, and other internal or external systems
• Design and work with relational databases, including data modeling, SQL development, and query optimization
• Troubleshoot application issues across the frontend, backend, database, and integration layers
• Participate in application design and technical decision-making
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to development standards and engineering best practices
• Write automated tests and support reliable application deployment and production operations
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and other engineers to move requirements from concept through production
• Evaluate technical approaches and recommend practical solutions based on maintainability, performance, security, and business needs

Skills

• Significant professional software development experience building and supporting production applications
• Strong, hands-on PHP development experience is required
• Strong, hands-on Laravel framework experience is required
• Strong, hands-on Vue.js development experience is required
• Demonstrated experience developing full-stack web applications using PHP/Laravel on the backend and Vue.js on the frontend
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, software design principles, and maintainable application architecture
• Experience developing backend services and REST APIs
• Strong experience with relational databases, SQL, data modeling, and query optimization
• Experience integrating applications with third-party APIs and external systems
• Understanding of application security, authentication, authorization, performance, and scalability
• Experience with source control, automated testing, CI/CD, and modern software development practices
• Ability to troubleshoot complex application issues across multiple layers of a system
• Experience developing software within the financial services industry
• Understanding of financial applications, data, transactions, calculations, and business workflows
• Ability to work effectively with business stakeholders and subject matter experts in a financial environment
• Experience with broader trading, brokerage, investment, securities, or capital markets applications may also be relevant
• Hands-On Full-Stack Developer. You are comfortable working directly in the codebase and contributing production software across both the frontend and backend
• Strong PHP/Laravel Engineer. PHP and Laravel are technologies you have used extensively to build, enhance, and maintain production applications
• Experienced Vue.js Developer. You have meaningful hands-on experience building production frontend applications with Vue.js
• Financially Fluent. You can work effectively in a financial services environment and understand the importance of accuracy, data integrity, business rules, and transactional workflows
• Problem Solver. You focus on understanding the business and technical problem before determining the appropriate solution
• Pragmatic. You balance technical quality with maintainability, performance, complexity, and business priorities
• Accountable. You take ownership of your work from requirements and development through testing, deployment, and production support
• Collaborative. You communicate effectively with engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders and can translate between technical and business requirements
• Experience with options trading, options platforms, or options-related workflows is highly valued
• PHP, Laravel, and Vue.js are core technical requirements. Experience with Python is beneficial but not required
