[Remote] Full Stack Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Insight Global is seeking a Full-Stack Visualization Engineer to support a pharmaceutical client's Causal Biology initiative focused on accelerating drug discovery and target identification. The role involves building modern full-stack applications and scientific visualization tools, collaborating with data scientists and researchers, and translating complex biological and analytical data into intuitive visual experiences.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain modern full stack applications using TypeScript, React, and Next.js
- Build interactive scientific visualizations using D3.js and related visualization technologies
- Develop user interfaces aligned with established design systems and UI standards
- Collaborate with data scientists to create tailored visual experiences for research and analytics workflows
- Consume and display data from BigQuery and other cloud-based sources
- Develop and execute unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using Playwright
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to application architecture decisions
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude to improve engineering productivity
Skills
- • 2-7 years of professional software engineering experience
- • Strong experience with: TypeScript, React, Next.js, Material UI (MUI), D3.js
- • Experience working with Google Cloud Platform, including BigQuery and Cloud Storage
- • Experience working with Docker-based deployment environments
- • Familiarity with automated testing frameworks such as Playwright
- • Strong understanding of responsive UI development and front-end best practices
- • Scientific data visualization experience
- • Healthcare, life sciences, or pharmaceutical industry experience
- • Experience supporting data science or analytics teams
- • Familiarity with AI-assisted coding workflows
