[Remote] Full Stack Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Togo helps growing businesses modernize their operations through process design and custom platforms that replace outgrown WMS, TMS, ERP, LIMS, and CRM systems. The Full Stack Engineer will design, build, and maintain client-owned systems, including data stores, user interfaces, back-end services, APIs, integrations, and production data migrations. The role requires working independently across the full technology stack and owning features from concept through deployment and support.

Responsibilities

• You will design, build, and maintain the custom systems we use to replace incumbent WMS, TMS, ERP, LIMS, and CRM platforms
• Day to day, you will architect client-owned data stores and data models, build front-end interfaces for people who live in these screens all day, design back-end services and APIs, integrate with the legacy systems and third-party tools each client depends on, and migrate live production data without disrupting the operation
• You will work from PRDs and process maps produced by our process-design team and talk directly with the operations people using what you build
• You own your features from concept through deployment and support
• You will work independently as part of a distributed team

Skills

• Broad full-stack experience across front end, back end, data, and infrastructure. We are looking for engineers who move comfortably between layers, not specialists in one slice of the stack
• Experience standing up data stores from scratch, including schema design and data modeling for messy, complicated business domains
• Solid back-end fundamentals: API design, background jobs, automation, secure integrations. Data migration experience from legacy systems is a big plus
• Comfort with AI-assisted development (code generation, agentic tooling, LLM-powered features) and the judgment to know where it belongs. We use AI heavily, but every engineer here needs to understand the systems they ship
• A bias toward simple, cost-conscious solutions. We respect engineers who can extend what a client already owns, whether that is Microsoft 365, QuickBooks, or a well-worn spreadsheet, instead of defaulting to a bigger build
• Front-end proficiency with modern JavaScript frameworks and CSS. We work mostly in React and TypeScript
• Experience integrating third-party platforms through APIs, webhooks, and EDI or flat files when a client requires it
• Git, testing, and CI/CD as a matter of habit
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or managed platforms like Supabase, plus relational and NoSQL databases and security best practices. Safety and security are non-negotiable in the systems we ship
• The ability to read a business workflow and turn it into a technical design. You will spend a lot of time learning how warehouses, brokerages, and contractors operate
• Clear written and verbal communication and the ability to work well remotely across functions
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience
