[Remote] Full Stack Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Cognitive Space is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to help advance its CNTIENT platform for automated scheduling and collection feasibility using machine learning algorithms and models. The role focuses on developing, testing, and deploying web applications, APIs, and user interfaces for intelligent space systems and modernized satellite operations, while collaborating cross-functionally and processing aerospace data.

Responsibilities

• Create easy to use APIs and UIs centered around providing the best possible user experience
• Develop, test and deploy web-based solution leveraging Python, Django, and JavaScript to build intelligent space systems to modernize satellite operations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize improvements that address key milestones and requirements
• Explore, visualize, and process aerospace data

Skills

• US Citizenship, Permanent Resident (Green) Card
• Ability to gain or hold a security clearance (Secret or higher)
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field: Computer Science, Engineering, etc. or equivalent work experience
• 2-5 years of professional experience in Python, Django and JavaScript (Vue.js or similar)
• 2+ years of professional experience building and shipping containerized applications using Docker
• Proficiency building APIs (GraphQL, REST) using best practices
• Proficiency in writing tests via Pytest and familiarity with Vitest
• Ability to work in a cross functional environment and work collaboratively on complex tasks
• Enjoys solving problems and possesses outstanding analytical skills
• Experience building web-based applications in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Bachelor's, Master's degree, or Ph.D. in a relevant field: Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Computational Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, etc
• An understanding of geospatial data and information
• An understanding of satellite operations
• Experience with 3D mapping tools (Cesium, Mapbox, etc.)
• Production experience operating Kubernetes clusters, including writing Helm charts and managing deployments, services, and ingress
