[Remote] Full Stack Engineer - Cybersecurity
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Open Select is a technology company focused on operational technology for defense, aviation, and commercial fleets. The Full Stack Engineer - Cybersecurity will design, build, and scale secure web applications, dashboards, and visualization tools while developing backend systems, frontend interfaces, analytics, and cybersecurity features.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end development of complex full-stack web apps, including high-impact dashboards and visualization tools
- Architect backend systems (Go, Node.js) for secure, reliable data processing and serve actionable analytics at scale
- Build intuitive, high-performance frontend interfaces using modern JS frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js)
- Integrate machine learning, anomaly detection, and compliance features in collaboration with engineers and data scientists
- Write clean, testable, well-documented code; operate independently in a high-growth environment
- Work closely across engineering, product, and design to define and ship new features for customers who depend on Shift5 for mission success
Skills
- 5+ years full-stack engineering experience, ideally in high-integrity, data-heavy, or safety/security-critical environments
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently and ship production web apps end-to-end
- U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S. (visa sponsorship not available)
- Proficient in Go and/or Node.js with strong React (Angular/Vue.js welcome); expertise across backend and frontend
- Prior experience in fast-growth tech companies and long-term tenures valued
