[Remote] Full Stack Engineer II
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Republic Services is an environmental services company providing recycling, waste management, environmental solutions, and sustainability services across North America. The Full Stack Engineer II develops and supports responsive web applications across the technology stack, analyzes and tunes applications, and collaborates with cross-functional teams. The role also provides operational support for the RISE platform, including production defect resolution, security remediation, application health monitoring, and reliability improvements.
Responsibilities
- Supports development of the next generation of responsive web applications
- Analyzes, configures, and tunes digital applications
- Builds applications across a full stack of technologies
- Designs component solutions that minimize maintenance and increase speed to market
- Leverages new technologies to develop and solve problems to achieve business outcomes
- Works cross-functionally with various teams including Integration, QA, Operations and the business to help drive results
- Supports with solutions throughout the IT organization to deliver on business objectives and initiatives
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent
- Provides development and operational support for the RISE platform using Angular, AWS, MySQL, DynamoDB, and Splunk
- The role is responsible for investigating and correcting production defects, remediating security vulnerabilities, monitoring application health, and supporting the ongoing stability and reliability of business-critical applications
Skills
- * Experience with agile scrum software development methodologies
- * Experience in all aspects of the software development lifecycle: design, functional and technical requirements, coding, debugging, testing, release, and operational support
- * Equivalent hands-on experience
- * 3 years' experience in software development, information systems, or equivalent technical environment
- This is a Remote position; however, candidates must be available to work during Arizona business hours (Mountain Standard Time) and attend meetings and collaborate with team members during those hours
