[Remote] Full Stack Engineer (Java/Python)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Dice is hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join its engineering team. The role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications across the stack, using Python or Java for backend services and React for frontend development. The engineer will also build APIs and microservices, integrate databases, optimize application performance, collaborate across teams, and mentor junior developers.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack web applications
- Build robust backend services using Python (FastAPI/Django) or Java (Spring Boot)
- Develop responsive and reusable frontend components using React
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices
- Integrate applications with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and cross-functional engineering teams
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term solutions
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 10+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong proficiency in Python or Java
- Experience with backend frameworks such as:
- FastAPI
- Spring Boot
- Strong understanding of:
- REST APIs
- Microservices
- Authentication & Authorization
- API security
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB
- Experience building modern frontend applications using React
- Strong understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3
- Experience using Git and CI/CD pipelines
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
- Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch, including:
- Index design
- Query DSL
- Aggregations
- Relevance tuning
- Performance optimization
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with distributed systems and event-driven architectures
- Experience with Generative AI technologies, including:
- LangChain
- Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
- Embedding models
- Vector databases
- Semantic search
- Prompt engineering
- LLM integrations (OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI, etc.)
