[Remote] Generative AI Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Concentric Recruitment is seeking a Generative AI Engineer to join an AI-powered company focused on building SaaS and digital retail solutions. The role involves designing and developing autonomous AI agents and workflows, collaborating with teams to integrate AI capabilities into products, and enhancing AI systems through R&D.
Responsibilities
- Designing and building autonomous AI agents and operators
- Building agents capable of using APIs, tools, function calls and external systems
- Developing multi-step workflows involving planning, decision-making, state and validation
- Building multi-agent and sub-agent architectures
- Developing workflows where agents can autonomously complete user-defined goals
- Working with software engineers, product managers and other teams to bring AI capabilities into customer-facing products
- Taking new AI concepts from experimentation and R&D into production
- Monitoring, testing and continuously improving AI and Machine Learning systems
Skills
- Strong Python and software engineering experience
- Hands-on experience building autonomous / agentic AI systems
- Experience building agents that can take actions through APIs, tools, function calling, MCP or browser automation
- Experience with multi-step agent workflows involving planning, routing, state, memory, retries and validation
- Experience with multi-agent or sub-agent orchestration
- Experience with frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, OpenAI Agents SDK or similar
- Production experience with LLMs such as OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, Llama or other open-source models
- Experience taking AI systems from prototype / R&D into production
- Understanding of evaluation, observability, guardrails and reliability for production AI systems
- Strong R&D and zero-to-one mentality
- Comfortable experimenting with new technologies and approaches
- Able to work through ambiguous technical problems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working with minimal supervision
- Able to understand business requirements and turn them into technical solutions
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Curious about the latest developments in Generative AI, LLMs and autonomous agents
- Experience within a start-up, AI product company or R&D environment
- Strong Python development experience
- Experience building APIs and backend services
- Experience with RAG, embeddings and vector databases
- Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP
- Experience independently taking an AI product or feature from idea to production
- Founder or zero-to-one product experience would be particularly interesting
