[Remote] Infrastructure Developer, Platform Engineering
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. MaintainX is a mobile-first work execution platform for industrial and frontline teams. The Infrastructure Developer will design and evolve AWS cloud infrastructure, build secure CI/CD pipelines, manage Kubernetes environments, strengthen observability and security, and enable internal developers and agents to deploy services independently.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and evolve our cloud infrastructure (primarily AWS) as code, using Terraform to keep every environment reproducible and legible to both engineers and agents
- Build CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) with guardrails that make agentic releases safe by default
- Manage and scale multi-region Kubernetes clusters
- Maintain and evolve Helm charts and deployment workflows as reusable
- Strengthen observability, monitoring, logging, and alerting, feeding signal back into AI-assisted remediation and define clear alert ownership
- Harden infrastructure security, image scanning, policy-as-code, network segmentation, and firewall configuration
- Partner closely with product engineering teams to support their infrastructure needs
- Enable developers and agents to deploy and manage services independently
- Participate in the on-call rotation
Skills
- • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or software engineering
- • AI-forward: you hold everything you build to an AI-native standard
- • Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred; Azure or GCP experience transfers well)
- • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and managing deployments
- • Proficient with Kubernetes in production environments
- • Experience with Docker and containerized applications
- • Experience with observability tools, including monitoring, logging, and alerting systems
- • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to support engineering teams
- • A strong communicator who can explain platform complexity and trade-offs clearly to stakeholders
- • Expert-level English, spoken and written
