[Remote] Infrastructure Engineer (L2)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. CBTS is seeking three experienced L2 Network Engineers to support a new customer engagement for an anticipated three-year term. The role involves network device deployments, site rollouts, configuration, cutovers, day-to-day network operations, and troubleshooting complex connectivity issues in a fully remote, ITSM-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Support network device deployment activities, including site rollout support, configuration, and cutover execution
- Provide day-to-day operational support for the customer's network environment
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex DMVPN connectivity issues in a timely and effective manner
- Configure, maintain, and support Cisco IOS Catalyst switches and routers
- Document network changes, incidents, and resolutions in accordance with ITSM processes
- Collaborate with project and operations teams to ensure smooth site cutovers and minimal service disruption
- Escalate and coordinate on complex issues as needed to ensure timely resolution
Skills
- Proven experience as an L2 Network Engineer in enterprise or service provider environments
- Hands-on experience with Cisco IOS on Catalyst switches and routers
- Demonstrated experience troubleshooting DMVPN connectivity issues
- Experience supporting network deployment activities such as site rollouts, configuration, and cutovers
- Experience working within an ITSM framework (e.g., incident, change, and problem management processes)
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a 100% remote capacity
- Availability to commit to a project engagement of up to three years
