[Remote] Java Engineer [Zeal]
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Zeal, now part of Livefront, is an AI-enabled software consultancy that helps Fortune 1000 companies use technology to drive business outcomes. The Java Engineer will work directly with clients to analyze business problems, develop and implement software solutions, and collaborate with consultants across industries and technical stacks. The role also involves applying software engineering and cloud best practices, implementing automated verification, enhancing CI/CD pipelines, and developing data pipelines and analytics platforms.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with clients to analyze business problems and implement technology solutions
- Develop software, design solutions, and collaborate with senior consultants to deliver high-quality outcomes
- Learn and apply best practices in software engineering, cloud technologies, and system architecture
- Gain experience across multiple clients and industries, adapting to different technical and business environments
- Build trust with clients and internal teams through strong communication, problem-solving, and execution
- Execute custom software development, primarily utilizing established languages and frameworks, including:
- C#, Entity Framework, ASP.NET, Java, Spring Boot, and Python
- JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, Next.js, .NET MAUI, Flutter, and Xamarin
- Implement automated verification protocols for software systems to ensure operational integrity
- Design and enhance CI/CD pipelines, incorporating comprehensive deployment and observability solutions through industry-standard tooling, such as:
- TerraForm, Azure Bicep, AWS CloudFormation, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins
- Dynatrace, New Relic, Jaeger, Grafana, Prometheus, and Azure Monitor
- Develop and maintain robust data pipelines and sophisticated analytics platforms utilizing:
- SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Kafka, Databricks, Snowflake, dbt, Apache Airflow, Azure Data Factory, Power BI, and Google Looker
